The Houses of Stillwater

How do you find the hidden study in Stillskin Forest?
Paul's hidden study is in Birch 1, behind a bookshelf you can walk through; a cold draft hints at it. The other houses hold Tommy's attic (Elm 1, up a ladder through a hatch), wardrobes to hide in (Elm 2 and Elm 3), and story tapes.
The houses
Five houses with porches and fences. Two are boarded up and one is burned out. In one, a TV switches on by itself.
Tommy's attic (Elm 1)
A ladder leads up through a hatch to a full attic room: a circle of dolls, a rocking chair, a music box, and a trunk you can hide in. The dolls turn to face you when you look away; the chair rocks when you come near. The attic is a dread zone and a secret.
Paul's hidden study (Birch 1)
Walk through the bookshelf. The study is a dread zone and a secret.
